Available Services

Many people already have a very good idea of what type of therapy or services they would like to access. Sometimes it may take a session or two to find out what fits best. In any case, I look to offer therapeutic interventions that are suited to your needs.

My treatment modalities include EMDR Therapy, Play Therapy, and Systemic Therapy, although my main focus has more and more shifted towards EMDR Therapy over the years. When deemed useful, I integrate elements of psychodrama, creative/expressive arts, somatic experiencing, or mindfulness into my practice. Most sessions take place individually, but sometimes it can be helpful to have a couple’s or family session. Therefore, I offer individual sessions as well as couple and family sessions.

Additionally, since I completed psychotherapy training in both Canada and Germany, I am able to provide psychological services and therapeutic protocols fluently in both English and German.

Online Therapy

Due to high demand, I have been offering online sessions for adolescents and adults for several years now. More and more studies are showing that online therapy sessions can also be very effective, including with EMDR, but they are not equally suited to everyone. Whether online therapy is suitable or contraindicated is usually determined during the initial consultation.

The video platform I use for online sessions is called whereby.com. This provider is encrypted and is GDPR-compliant. In addition, whereby does not store client names or audio and video content of sessions on its EU servers. Another plus point is that the service is very easy to use, as no download or registration is required.

Group Therapy & Workshops

From time to time, I also offer Group Therapy and Workshops. When slots in groups or workshops become available, they appear on the booking site under ‘events’. These groups are usually available to current or former clients and to new clients after a pre-screen.

What is not part of the services offered?

No organic diagnoses are made and no medical treatments are carried out. In these cases, please consult a medical doctor.  Also, for medication, the treatment of psychosis, severe depression, and/or severe dissociative symptoms, please consult a psychiatrist.

What are the costs?

If you go to the Fees page, you find information about the costs, possible insurance coverage, and how to book your first appointment.
